INDIGO DREAMS

Since 2013, I've been hand dyeing indigo textiles and accessories to wear and to decorate at home. Working out of my home studio in West Tennessee, I dye with natural indigo yielding sublime shades. My patterns are based on a modern shibori method as well as a stencil + rice paste resist method -- utilizing everything from river rocks + wooden blocks to cassette tapes + laser-cut forms to create patterns on natural fibers. Indigo dreams come true.

Garner Blue is A
hankering for worn
denim, a wash of the sea and marbled clouds, a mix of
gravity and levity
mirrored in a hue so deep- it's forever fixed in the folds.

MADE in
TN

Each piece is dyed out on our carport on a lazy Jackson, TN street. Textiles blow in the wind while neighborhood kids run around dressed as Luigi + Darth Vader. Birds chirp with leaves strewn everywhere-- who has time to rake? It's surreal at times but then I look down at my feet and just imagine future homeowners wondering what the heck happened out there. That indigo concrete isn't going anywhere fast.
